HomeKIT

HomeKit offers:

  • security – it can send alarms and error messages both to security firm and also to your mobile or Elion landline or email;

  • savings – you can keep an eye on your home and check electric and heating expenses. HomeKit will send a message to your phone when designated levels have been exceeded;

  • convenience –you can manage electrical home devices - for example, open gates, turn on or off sauna or sprinkler system, monitor heating devices, change temperature etc. All this via your mobile or Elion landline;

  • simplicity – devices can be controlled by calling to short number 1795xx or via HomeKit online administration tool. All HomeKit actions for the past 6 months can be viewed via online administration tool.

Following security service options are available for HomeKit users:

  • own guard

  • neighbor guard

  • security firm guard

The service uses secure online environment (service logic) and your mobile phone for sending commands and receiving messages.

KIT management is interactive – commands are given by calling to a 4-digit short number and entering a 2-digit service code: 1795xx. Replies are sent to your mobile display and if needed, as text messages also. KIT executes orders within 3-5 seconds and provides feedback whether the action was successful on not.

HomeKIT's online administration tool is available at EMT e-service. All your KITs' will be displayed by clicking on menu item KIT.

Software updates and firmware settings are done remotely and this makes KIT management fast and convenient. The service has several access levels: KIT's owner can grant access to family members and limited access to installers and security companies. All operations done with KIT are logged and the owner can see all transactions for the past six months.

Alarm notifications are sent as call messages (if the owner does not answer the call, HomKIT will retry for up to five times) and as text messages sent to your mobile phone or as email messages. Optionally, alarm notifications can be sent to several security firms also - Pristis, G4S, Securitas, etc.- provided that you have a relevant agreement. These security companies are the largest in Estonia and have provided their help in developing HomeKIT service.

HomeKIT service can be combined with security service provided by security companies making it possible to send alarm notifications both to customer and security service provider and in the future, to the Rescue Board as well.

HomeKIT controller can be connected to existing security devices sparing the customer from replacing these. If existing devices are used, KIT will function as an alarm sender and automatics module.

If KIT is used autonomously, it has eight independent security zones and local alarm signal and can also be armed locally without mobile phone.

7. Service security

Controller (Device) is a security and automatics device which should be installed by trained professionals.

Keep your arming code key apart from house/apartment keys, because if these are used together, your property becomes vulnerable.

Do not store disarming codes and codes for opening gates and doors on SIM card's or phone's memory.

If you lose mobile phone or SIM card that is used for controlling the Device, notify EMT immediately – call to toll-free customer care line 123 and ask to close the SIM card and/or Device.

If you lose your code key, deactivate all keys via online administration tool or via a short number. You can reactivate the code keys later by the same means.
